72-07 Grand Avenue Roe, Due to an ongoing investigation, this business was closed by the Marshall. Great news for the neighborhood. DI Wachter. Hi All,
I called DSNY Queens West 5 and asked when trash and recycling pickups will resume. I was told that they're working 24 hours/7 days and trucks have been picking up today and will get to whatever they can. However, if it snows they will stop making pickups in order to plow/salt the streets. This applies to everyone regardless of which community you live in. Folks should place out their trash and recycling on their regular pickup day. If it snows, leave the pails/bags out but make sure they are kept clear of snow. When the plowing/salting is completed they will resume pickups. They will be working on Sunday too. Summonses will not be issued if trash isn't picked up. Roe Daraio, President COMET Civic Association www.cometcivic.com Good morning all,
I wanted to provide you with a DOT work request number for a traffic signal request at 69th Street and 52nd Drive. This request came following last year’s one-way conversion of 70th Street and was opened following several utility work permits that were closed at this location. We expect to have results from the study this summer. Please feel free to share this work order request with others in the community. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Jason Banrey Deputy Queens Borough Commissioner For those of you with children that applied to Maspeth High School buit did not get in please send your name and e-mail address with phone number to community activist Alicia Vaichunas, who is working on the issue:
avaichunas1974@yahoo.com Text to: (347) 601-1265 A prenote compliance conference has been scheduled for August 11th, 2017 for KCM Realty's lawsuit against the owners of the Holiday Inn Express. We understand that people want immediate action to remove the homeless from the Holiday Inn Express but the legal system doesn't work that fast. In the meantime, CBM's attorneys have prepared the Article 78 against the City of New York and that should be filed next week.
Hi All,
I received the minutes from Community Board 4 (CB 4) and thought you might be interested in the following: 85-08 57th Avenue - Waiver of GCL Section to permit the construction of six four-story three-family homes within the bed of a mapped but unbuilt portion of Haspel Street. Approval of the application was granted subject to the applicant acquiring comment letters from the Department of Transportation and Fire Department. CB 4 voted 26 in favor, 3 opposed with 0 abstentions. CB 4 did not believe the application warranted a Public Hearing. Roe Daraio, President COMET Civic Association www.cometcivic.com |
