Captain Wachter, 104th Precinct, said members of the midnight patrol units arrested a 15-year old male last night outside 58-32 69th Street for breaking into numerous vehicles. This juvenile was remanded and is in custody of the Juvenile Detention Division. Youth lives in Connecticut.

He also said that members of our Narcotics Units arrested 4 people for possession of a large quantity of cocaine and prescription medication. Arrests occurred at pizzeria at 53-76 65th Place.

Great job by 104th and Queens Narcotics!!!

Btw, all cars being broken into are UNLOCKED. Please tell neighbors to lock their vehicle even if parked in driveway!

Flushing Avenue collision

9/27/2015

On Sunday 9/27/15 at 3:58 AM‎, there was a vehicle collision at the intersection of Flushing Avenue and 54 Street in the confines of the 104 Precinct.  A single-occupant sedan driven by a 39 year ‎old male from Brooklyn was proceeding westbound on the underpass of W/B Flushing Avenue from 60th Street. A witness states he observed the ‎sedan emerge from the underpass at an extremely high rate of speed, where it struck a streetlight in the median, then struck a parked unoccupied vehicle, and then struck a traffic pole at the north east corner of 54th Street and Flushing Avenue.‎ The driver is seriously injured and likely to die at Elmhurst General Hospital at this time. The collision is still under investigation, and it is believed that intoxicated driving and excessive speed were factors in the collision.

Roe,

On Monday 9/14 through Tuesday 9/15 (overnight), two (2) Drivers Licenses were removed from the center console of an older model SUV parked at the 71-00 block of 52nd Avenue in Cometland.  The complainant states that she did not remember whether or not she locked her vehicle overnight.  There was no video surveillance of the incident.

Please tell everybody to make sure their vehicles are locked whenever they are unattended, even if they are parked in front of their own homes.  Also do not leave valuables in the car, the perps know that the center consoles typically contain wallets, credit cards or other valuables, even loose change.  A driver's license that falls into the wrong hands contains EVERYTHING - your full name, date of birth, home address, your signature and even your photograph - that person needs to steal your identity.

Be safe!

Hit and run in Maspeth; perp from Midville

9/13/2015

On Saturday 9/12 at approximately 8:30 PM, 3 people were crossing the LIE at Hamilton Place in the marked crosswalk with the Walk Signal, and were struck by a gray Infinity Q50 with NY plates, which fled the location. The 3 males were in their early thirties (one resides in Cometland on 66 Street, one resides in Flushing and the other in Jamaica) and sustained cuts, bruises, pain and swelling to the arms, legs and torso.

104 Precinct units responded‎ and ascertained the plate was registered to an address in Middle Village (61-00 block of 69th Lane).  They knocked on the door and the  perpetrator (Anthony Milcetic, MW/24) admitted to leaving the scene, knowing there were injuries. He was subsequently arrested.

Hi All,

DI Manson, 110th Precinct, just called to let us know about a robbery that occurred last night at 11:00 pm in front of 84-20 Grand Avenue.

The 18-year old Asian victim was approached by a male Hispanic and female Hispanic approximately 20 years old who punched him and kicked him in the head. They took $30 cash, his wallet and iPhone.

Please be careful when walking, stay in well-lit areas and keep your cell phones out of sight.

Hope to see you at our Comet meeting this Monday at 7:00 pm, St. Adalbert Parish Center, 84th/Grand Avenue.
