Maspeth High School rumors

11/21/2019

Good evening,

Wanted to update everyone on recent rumors that have been circulating regarding Maspeth High School.   Earlier this morning, there was a 911 call placed saying that there were threats made on social media, by a third party to "shoot up" Maspeth High School.  After investigation by patrol units and the detective squad, it was determined that there was no threat to the location.

Thank you,
Police Officer Michael Berish

110th Precinct NCO A Sector - Update

11/20/2019

The following is a message we received from NCO PO Kelsey Cunningham, 110th Precinct Sector A. This issue was brought to the attention of PO David Saponieri, Community Affairs, and he passed it along to PO Lee and PO Cunningham. Hopefully with continued enforcement the problem will be resolved.

I hope you have been well, I recently spoke to Dave and he relayed to me a complaint from the last COMET meeting about school buses being parked on Cornish Avenue (PS.7), and I wanted to follow up with you that my partner and I have issued multiple summonses to the buses in regards and we will continue to monitor the area.
