The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that there would be no trash, organics or recycling nor organics collection on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018.
· Residents who normally receive Tuesday garbage and organics collection should place their materials out at curbside Tuesday, Dec. 25 after 4 p.m. for collection.
· Residents who normally receive Tuesday recycling collection should place their materials out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1 for collection beginning Wednesday, January 2.
Please note that it is not unusual for collection times to be delayed or different after a holiday and during the winter season.
In addition, all Sanitation administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 25, in observance of the holiday.
