Grand Avenue robbery on April 17th

Hi All,

Captain Wachter, 104th Precinct, called to let us know that Subway, 69-79 Grand Avenue was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday, April 17th about about 9:20 pm by a male and female. The robbers fled in an unknown direction.

If anyone saw anything suspicious that night please contact Crime Stoppers or the 104th Precinct Squad.

Attempted robberies in South Elmhurst

Hi All,

PO Janine Rivera, 110th Precinct Community Affairs, called to let us know about two attempted robbery incidents in the area:

4/8 at Hillyer and Kneeland - one male perpetrator in his 20's, unknown race, attempted to rob an Asian female at approximately 9:00 pm.
4/8 at Seabury and 59th Avenue - two male perpetrators in their 20's, unknown race, attempted to rob an Asian male and a Hispanic female at approximately 5:30 pm.

Lucky for us the victims stepped up and reported the incidents or we wouldn't know what was going on. Please be alert, report suspicious people and notify the NYPD to report a crime.

Narcotics arrest in Maspeth/Middle Village

At approximately 1230 hours today, Members of the 104th Precinct Anti-Crime team arrested a 37 year old male and a 27 year old female from Upstate NY who were delivering 130 decks of heroin to the Maspeth/ Middle Village area. This arrest was made in the Vicinity of 56 Street and Flushing Avenue. Total quantity is 130 Decks of Heroin. (see attached picture)

Results of overnight parking enforcement

The 104th Precinct conducted overnight commercial parking operation of the last week to address the concerns of many residents. The precinct wrote 98 summonses to vehicles in Middle Village and Maspeth.

Members of the 104th Precinct arrested a 55 year old male for writing Graffiti near the intersection of 56 Street and Flushing Avenue. I guess you are never too old to graffiti the neighborhood.

Shred your paperwork to avoid identity theft
Recycle your old electronics like TVs, computers, laptops, phones, etc.
Rain barrel give-a-way (quantities are limited)

The 104th & 108th Precincts will VIN Etch your vehicle and you may save $$ on you theft insurance
The NYPD will register your bikes, cell phones, iPads, etc. to help recover them if they're stolen.
These programs are available to everyone regardless of which community you live in.

COMET meeting tomorrow, April 4

Don't forget our Comet meeting this Monday, April 4th, at 7:00 pm in St. Adalbert Parish Center, lower level, 52-40 84th Street.

104th, 108th & 110th Precincts will give us our crime stats
FDNY will be handing out free smoke detectors (quantities are limited)
Update from our elected officials' reps about ongoing concerns that we have brought to their attention

8 arrests for unlicensed massage parlors

Last night, members of the Queens North Vice Enforcement team made 8 arrests for unlicensed massage and prostitution. The locations of these arrests involved the neighborhoods of Ridgewood, Maspeth, and the Middle Village border. I thank the community for assisting us in identifying locations that were a concern to these neighborhoods. A special thanks to D.I. Cody and his team for their support in addressing the community concerns.

57-03 71st Street - 2 arrests
71-05 Grand Avenue - 1 arrest
64-14 Fresh Pond Road - 3 arrests
89-08 Eliot Avenue (confines of the 112th Precinct) - 2 arrests
