  • 108th Precinct - update on your continued enforcement to address commercial traffic/parking conditions in the vicinity of 51st Avenue/72nd.

  • We've been getting an increased number of complaints about people going onto private property to collect bottles or ripping bags open at the curb resulting in recycling falling out into the street leaving it up to the property owner to clean up. What is the best way to resolve this?

104th Precinct - Incident in Ridgewood

Good afternoon,

We would like to make you aware of an incident that occurred in the 104th Precinct last night, Friday, March 24, 2023.  At Approximately 8:16 pm police responded to calls of a male shot at the intersection of Onderdonk Avenue and Harmen Street, Ridgewood.  Upon arrival officers discovered a 23-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his left thigh.  Officers immediately rendered aid and applied a tourniquet while requesting EMS to the scene.  Upon further investigation, video shows a black sedan with unknown plates arriving to the location and forcing the victim out of the vehicle.  Witness in the area stated they did not hear any sounds of gun shots.  The victim was removed to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.  At this time, it is unknown of where the shooting took place.  This investigation is currently on going, if anyone has information involving this incident, please reach out to the 104th Precinct.

104th Precinct - Shots fired in Maspeth

FYI from DI Coleman:

At 12:30 am, we responded to 71st Street & 54th Avenue for reports of shots fired.  A canvas by responding officers resulted in 8x casings recovered in front of 54-XX 71st Street.  Witness states he observed a male Black wearing all black discharge multiple rounds and flee N/B on 71st Street on foot. No one was injured.

Investigation is on going.

Incident in the 104th Pct - robbery of deliveryman

Good morning, 

The 104th Precinct would like to make you aware of a recent incident within our confines. 

On Sunday 03/19, Officers responded to a call for the robbery of a delivery person in the vicinity of 68 Road and 73 Place in Middle Village, Queens. Whilst making a delivery at the location, the victim was approached by several unknown teenage male perpetrators who struck him with a metal object and removed $100 USD. The perpetrators fled southbound on 73 Place. The victim was treated on scene by EMS for a minor laceration to the head.

This incident is currently under investigation and information is subject to change. As always, questions and concerns can be directed to the 104th Community Affairs Office.
