Mazeau Overpass/Homeless Issue

8/26/2019

This is great news for the community as well as the homeless couple. Thank you to Assemblyman Barnwell's office for their efforts and keeping us updated!

Hi Roe,

I’m happy to inform you that the individuals that were living on the Mazeau Street overpass have accepted help from DHS (Department of Homeless Services) and have left the area. The entire site has been cleaned by the NYS DOT; I’ve attached photos from the cleanup on 8/20. Please let me know if any issues remain with this area.

Best,

Victoria Leahy
Internal Affairs Coordinator | Senior Community Liaison

Hello Everyone,

I hope all is well. The 110th Precinct, Neighborhood Coordination Officer, Sector A, Build The Block Meeting is coming up on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2019 AT 7 PM and we would like to invite you all to attend. This time it will be held at ELMHURST PARK, BETWEEN GRAND AVENUE AND 57TH  AVENUE, AND BETWEEN 74TH AND 80TH STREETS (Enter through 57 Avenue). We will be grilling hot dogs, and having refreshments for all that attend so please come by early at 6:30 PM.

For those that have not attended our previous meetings, we will be discussing quality of life, crimes, and other issues concerning the area in the 110th Precinct, within Sector A (bordering Roosevelt Avenue, Britton Avenue, Broadway, Queens Boulevard, the New York Connecting Railroad Lines, and the LIE). If you have certain complaints you would like to share with us, this would be a great platform to bring it to our attention and we can collaborate together on how to resolve it.  Even if you live, work, or own property outside of  Sector A, everyone is welcome. These meetings are meant to cultivate and improve relations between the NYPD and the community on a more personal level.
Attached is our flyer with the relevant information. We hope to see everyone there! Take care, be safe, and stay vigilant.
Sincerely,
POLICE OFFICER DON LEE
NEW YORK POLICE DEPARTMENT
110 PRECINCT, NEIGHBORHOOD COORDINATION OFFICER
