Snowstorm Resource:
NYC 311 Service request map- Allows you to view 311 complaints as they come in and the city’s response. This can show you if there’s a particular area that is seeing complaints including snow and loss of heat.  https://portal.311.nyc.gov

Con Edison Outage Map- This is a real time look at any power outages throughout the 5 boroughs. This will be the most updated information as it is connected directly with the Smart Meters on houses and apartments. They will update the timetable of outages regularly. https://outagemap.coned.com

Attached is a flier that was passed along to us by one of our members. We reached out to our precincts and both the 104th and 108th Precincts agree it is not issued by the NYPD. Check out the flier and the 104th's response.

Hi Roe,

Thanks for the information.  This is NOT a NYPD issued flyer.  As of right now we are not aware of any crimes of this type taking place in our area.  However, it is not bad information to consider.  I will keep you posted if we hear any other news on this type of crime.

Thanks,
Police Officer Michael Berish

Arrest thanks to sharp-eyed resident

1/18/2022

These arrests wouldn't have happened if a resident didn't take the time to look out the window in early morning hours. If you get up during the night, take a minute to look out the window and don't hesitate to call 911 if you see suspicious activity.

The arrests were made in the vicinity of 72nd Place/52nd Road.

NYPD 104th Precinct on Twitter: "In #Maspeth over the midnight hours, PO Defretis & PO Keller received a call for 3 suspicious males crawling under vehicles. Their swift response to the scene led them to catching the 3 perpetrators in the act of cutting Catalytic Converters off of parked vehicles. Great work!

We are now collecting $10 dues for 2022 and hope you continue to support our efforts.
