Firearms and narcotics arrests

To all Members of the Community,

The 104 Pct and Queens North Narcotics have made 12 arrests in the last two days for Narcotics Sales and possession of a firearm. This initiative has taken 190 glassines of heroin, 3 ounces of cocaine, 192 xanex pills, oxycodone, 5 pounds of marihuana and a .38 caliber handgun off the streets of Glendale, Ridgewood, Middle Village and Maspeth. These locations of recovery have included private houses, a local deli  and vehicles. See attached photos. Once again, I would like to thank the community for your support in helping us make this a better community to live.

To all Community Members,
 
Members of the 104th Precinct Anti-Crime Team arrested a 21 year old Maspeth resident for attempting to break into 4 separate vehicles early this morning. This defendant has 10 prior arrests for auto break-ins and Burglary. The arrest occurred at 60-28 Flushing Avenue.
 
Members of the Queens North Vice Team arrested 5 females last night for unlicensed massage/ prostitution within the confines of the 104/112 pct. We will continue to actively address these locations based on community complaints.

Community alert - Crime is UP in our area

Hi All,

I want to update those of you who didn't attend our meeting last night about some of the crime statistics in our area. Some of these crimes could have been avoided. Please be alert at all times and if you see something, say something. Most important, if you have been a victim of a crime please report it. I took note of the crimes the best I could.

Elmhurst
  • 4/8, 7:00 pm, 59-year old female robbed of a Samsung by two male perpetrators at 57th Avenue/Seabury Street
  • 4/8, 11:00 pm, a male perpetrator accosted a 57-year old female and rifled through her pockets. When she screamed the perpetrator ran off.
  • 4/9, reported at 11:20 pm, 51st Avenue at Simonson Street, a burglar entered residence through REAR door and jewelry was removed.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at "Love Spa", 85 #s on Queens Boulevard. Cash was stolen.
  • 4/8, Blackthorn Nightclub on 51st Avenue, a female lost her purse with cellphone and credit cards.
  • 4/19, Queens Center Mall, an Asian male was pick pocketed of $1,500 at 9:00 pm while in JC Penny.
  • 4/21, New Life Church, a vehicle was broken into while the victim was at a service. Crime was reported at 6:45 pm.
  • 4/5, a 2003 Dodge Caravan was stolen at 84th/Grand Avenue
  • 4/20, a 2001 Dodge Caravan was stolen at 51st Avenue/Ireland Street

Maspeth
  • 4/17, Subway store at 69-79 Grand Avenue was robbed of cash.
  • 4/28, a robbery occurred at 56th Road/61st Street. An arrest was made.
  • 57th Road/58th Street a black Mazzaratti  with two perpetrators punched another driver, displayed a silver firearm and robbed him. The perpetrators were arrested.
  • 4/28, 68 #s/60th Road, sometime between noon and 9:30 a burglar entered through the REAR door.
  • 4/1, 54 #s/Arnold Avenue, apartment was entered by a burglar and property was taken sometime between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
  • 4/4, 60 #s/59th Drive, burglar entered through REAR glass door and property was taken.
  • 4/6, 58 #s/47th Street, tool box removed from a commercial property overnight.
  • 4/7, 59 #s/60th Street, 24 inch flat screen TV was stolen.
  • 4/9,  53 #s/69th Street, perpetrator entered through REAR door and stole $1,000 US currency.
  • 61 #s/56th Drive,  unattended property
  • 61 #s/56th Avenue, a motorcycle was stolen and subsequently recovered. Motorcycle was parked with key in it!

Woodside
  • 4/9, homicide occurred in vicinity of 47th Avenue/67th Street. Victim was shot multiple times. Possibly gang related.
  • 4/4, 61 #s/51st Avenue, a truck was broken into and tools were stolen.
  • 4/29, a 2008 blue Toyota was stolen. I didn't take note of location but it's in our area.
