This info was sent to us by one of our members. She passed the info along to Assemblyman Barnwell and Councilman Holden. We just notified Congresswoman Meng's office. If you have something important to mail, we think it's best to go directly to the post office.
"About half an hour ago, at mailbox, corner 72 ST & 53 RD, I met mail carrier, who told me to give him my mail, as someone had glued the mail slot shut. He assumed it had been an attempt to steal the mail.
He said he'd just met a woman who came to mail something - she told him she'd tried a couple of other mailboxes in the area, & they were also glued shut."
