As the micro tunneling project is winding down on 70th Street, the agency has advised us that the contractor will start restoring the street. The restoration will include new curbs and sidewalks including driveways.
The restoration is starting on 70th Street at 54th Avenue and people are becoming concerned about the vibrations being caused by the machines tearing up the sidewalks.
We spoke with one of the workers who stated the corners will be installed first. We reached out to the agency to ask them to remind the contractor to cause as little vibrations as possible due to the age of the homes and the fact that some of the homes have a high water table.
