Good afternoon,
The Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is conducting seasonal collections for leaves in December. The material collected is diverted from landfills, and instead used to create compost.
This service is available to all Queens residents and those wishing to participate can set out leaves they’ve collected in paper leaf bags or unlined rigid bins on the curb after 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 11.
