As the New Year begins, the upcoming orientation for the NYPD Cadet Corps will be held at the Police Academy located at 130-30 28th Avenue, Queens, NY, 11354, on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at 1000hrs. Candidates must register for the orientation at NYPDCadets.org.
The NYPD Cadet Corps provides qualified college students with a chance to experience a career within the NYPD. The Cadet Program is a paid internship which offers varied assignments and unlimited opportunities. Working full-time in the summer and a flexible part-time schedule during the school year, Cadets are assigned to a Police Precinct, Housing Police Service Area or Transit District. Upon graduating from college and the Police Cadet Program, Cadets will have the opportunity to be promoted to an NYPD Police Officer.
