Good evening,
Earlier this afternoon, 11/12, at approximately 1:30 pm, three separate incidents involving an attempted rape and forcible touching of three females were reported inside Forest Park, within the confines of the 102 Precinct. At this time there is one person, unknown male black wanted in regards to these reported crimes. Our Special Victims Unit is currently investigating these incidents and in doing so, visited the Westhab Shelter located at 78-16 Cooper Avenue as part of their investigation and its close proximity to the park. Upon the visit and at this current time, it appears that the suspect wanted is not a resident of the facility. Please understand that this investigation is ongoing and is in the preliminary stages, with subject to change. As always please feel free to call or write with any questions or concerns.
