Good morning,
The 104 Precinct wants to make you aware of an incident that took place earlier this morning. At approximately 1:05 am police responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of Myrtle Avenue and 62 Street. Upon arrival officers were met by approximately 40 individuals who were outside at the location. While conducting a canvass and requesting Evidence Collection Team to the scene, officers recovered 14 shell casings from the vicinity of Myrtle Avenue and 61 street to 62 Street and Myrtle Avenue to 74 Avenue as well as one bullet from the front seat of a nearby vehicle. A witness at the location stated he observed a group of males fire handguns and then proceed to flees southbound on 62 Street. This investigation is still ongoing.
