Earlier today police were notified about graffiti on the wall in the vicinity of 74 Street and 57 Avenue, Maspeth. This graffiti was displayed on the South wall that crosses over the train tracks at the location. The graffiti reads "Free Palestine" in blue spray paint. Though these words may be considered offensive, this incident is not deemed a hate crime. In addition, the incident in Glendale that took place earlier this week was investigated by our Hate Crimes Task Force and has not been deemed a hate crime. The New York City Police Department takes incidents such as this with great concern.
