Good evening,
Earlier today police responded to a call of vandalism at the Southeast intersection of 76th Avenue & 88th Street, Glendale. Once on scene, officers observed an American flag that was displayed on a fence, with the words "Free Palestine" written in spray paint across the flag. Our Evidence Collection Team responded to the location and has removed the flag.
Please know that at this time, this incident is currently being investigated by the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force. The New York City Department takes incidents such as this, very seriously, especially with the current events taking place in the Middle East.
