The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is hosting a LaGuardia Airport Mass Transit Access Public Workshops. The second workshop will take place on Thursday, March 24th at the Astoria Manor Banquet Hall located at 25-22 Astoria Blvd.
This workshop will discuss 14 potential mass transit options to LaGuardia Airport, that include:
- Two potential subway extensions;
- Five potential routes for fixed guideways for light rail connections;
- Five potential bus routes;
- Ferry service; and
- Other emerging technologies.
Attendees will be able to record comments for consideration in the evaluation process.

As announced on Oct. 12, 2021, the evaluation of mass transit options for reducing car traffic and increasing connectivity to LaGuardia Airport will include input from a panel of three international, national and regional transportation experts as well as consultation with the MTA.
