Hi All,
Got several inquiries about helicopters with spotlights hovering above homes in west Maspeth on Saturday night at about 10:00 - 10:15 pm.
Apparently someone spotted four males jumping the fence at the Polish Hall on 56th/64th and called 911. Captain Manson,104th Precinct, said they responded and helicopter was checking roof of building. Everything was fine and there was no burglary. Captain believes they were possibly looking for copper and were scared off when NYPD pulled up.
Kudos to the person who called 911! Let's all keep our eyes pealed - crime doesn't take a holiday!
