Message from the Outreach Coordinator/Bike Share
I’m reaching from NYC DOT’s Bike Share unit to inform you that Citi Bike will be expanding further into Community Board 2 and 5, which includes neighborhoods such as Sunnyside, Woodside, Maspeth and Fresh Pond.
As you may know, Citi Bike’s Phase 3 expansion is a five-year growth of New York City’s successful Citi Bike program that will double the size of the service area, covering all of Manhattan and significant portions of Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, and increase the system’s fleet to 40,000 bikes.
I wanted to highlight that we are opening our online feedback map as part of the planning process to collect suggestions from the public on where Citi Bike stations should be located in Queens CB 2 and 5:
Citi Bike’s success is based on strong community feedback. Feel free to send this link via email, newsletter or social media pages! For easy sharing via social media, here are the posts NYC DOT made about the feedback map (Facebook and Twitter). Please continue to check back to our social media to keep updated on the next steps for bike share in Queens.
