C/V: elderly Male
4 unknown Males
Possibly Hispanic
M.O.: Suspect posed as water Dept employees
1 knocked on door-he led c/v to basement while other 3 entered home and removed victim's $ and jewelry
They fled in unknown direction
Please pass the word-if anybody sees suspicious behavior-CALL 911 ASAP!!
I ensured that my officers are briefed of the occurrence and will let you know any further developments.
Also Karen Ellis - my peer w/DEP would like to remind all that DEP employees (no such entity anymore as the "Water Department") wear distinctive Uniforms, drive marked autos (white w/city DEP logo) and carry Identification - FYI.
