Captain Manson, 104th Precinct, just called to let us know that we had a robbery this morning in Woodside. The robbery occurred in front of 51-11 69th Street at 7:25 am.
A 37-year old female was standing on the corner when a male Hispanic, approximately 5'5, 130 lbs ran past her and grabbed the purse off her shoulder. The purse caught her arm and she fell to the ground and hit her head. He took her purse containing cash, ID and house keys. The victim couldn't provide any other information.
If you must carry a purse, it would be wise to keep your wallet and house keys in your pocket. Don't carry any valuables that you don't need. Please be alert at all times!!
