Captain Brian Hennessy, 108th Precinct, said that during the past 28 days there have been three rim/tire jobs near Comet's border in the past 28 days.
They occurred in Woodside on Laurel Hill/58th Street, 51 block on 58th Street, and another one 2 blocks away. One was a Prius, an Infiniti and a Honda. He asked that residents in our area be aware of the cluster and to provide 911 with any info on suspicious vehicles during nighttime hours.
If you recall, we recently had a rim/tire job on 53rd Avenue/70th Street in Maspeth, and one on 84th Street/Grand in Elmhurst.
These crooks skip around from one community to another so please be alert and pass this on to others in our area.
