I was asked about two incidents that possibly occurred in Maspeth during the past 24-hours.
- Incident #1 - 10 vehicles having their tires slashed
- Incident #2 - Possible shots fired in the vicinity of Hamilton Place.
If your vehicle was damaged, please make a police report.
Glad to see a neighbor on Hamilton Place saw something and called 911 - next time it could be a burglar!
If anything more develops, I'll let everyone know. Have a great weekend and happy Mother's Day!!

Roe,
I was investigating this as you sent me the email. At approximately 0230 hours, a dispute started at the 70 Street and 53 Avenue in which a brick was thrown through a car window. The police were called at approximately 0830hours, and discovered approximately 8 cars with scratches or tire damage to them. As of now, we have three persons who made a report of the incident. We are currently looking at video to ascertain any suspects who are responsible for this actions. I will increase patrols in that area to prevent reoccurence.
As for Hamilton Place, the only incident is for a suspicious person near a house. It turned out to be the owners who forgot his keys. I will look further into the Hamilton Place for any other incidents.
