Just heard from Captain Manson, 104th Precinct. He wants to let us know that we had another burglary - 52 #s on 72nd Place in northern Maspeth this past Wednesday. The perpetrator(s) accessed and opened a bedroom window by using the homeowner's ladder. A $1,000 camera was stolen. It appears that the perpetrator just reached in and took it - seems nothing else was stolen. The burglary occurred between the hours of 7:30 am and 7:30 pm. This is not far from the Woodside/Elmhurst border!
Captain Manson also said, in response to a concerned anonymous tipster, they tracked down a green jeep that was seen driving around northern Maspeth. Summonses were issued for unregistered with no inspection, etc.

- Now that the weather is getting warmer and you're spending more time outside, please be sure to secure ladders or any lawn furniture that can be used by a thief to reach a window. Make sure your sheds are locked at all times!!
- Be alert at all times and call 911 if you see anything suspicious!!! Please pass this on to others in the community.
