Community Alert - Bank robbery and chain snatchings

There are two incidents that occurred that you need to be aware of:

• Yesterday, Saturday, August 4th, a male white robbed the Amalgamated Bank on Grand Avenue/69th Lane and displayed a gun.  Captain Cody is trying to get us a photo of the robber.  If and when I get it, I'll send it to everyone and hope someone recognizes him.
• There has been a series of chain snatchings in Glendale - two males in a vehicle.  If you know anyone who lives or works in Glendale, please let them know.  This can happen anywhere so we all need to be alert.  Please refrain from wearing expensive jewelry in the summer because you could easily become a victim. This is a crime of opportunity! I believe up until now all the victims in Glendale are elderly.
