Captain Gibbs, our new Commanding Officer at the 108th Precinct, reached out to me this morning to share some good news.
He is happy to report that City Scapes, located at 55-61 58th Street, had their NYS liquor license pulled last night by the State Liquor Authority. The establishment was cleared out and the doors were closed at about 1:00 am. This is the club that had the non-fatal stabbing two weeks ago and has had other incidents over the years.
He also mentioned that the 108th Precinct Anti-Crime officers caught two guys red-handed while they were mailbox fishing last night. The detectives are currently debriefing them. These individuals were apprehended on 47th Street and 35th Avenue. While this location isn't in our area, these thieves move around to find mailboxes that have not been retrofitted.
If you see a mailbox with the attached sticker, be aware that it has not yet been retrofitted and is vulnerable to fishing.
Great job by the 108th Precinct. Keep up the fabulous work!
