Our 104th Precinct NCO, PO Nisbett, wants to alert folks to an incident that occurred on Friday, September 18th,
Approximately 11:00 pm, two males wearing construction vests, in a truck, removed pipes that were not secured by the contractor at 70th Street and 52nd Drive. The pipes were being used for the sewer project.
We all know by now that the construction stops anywhere between 4:00-6:00 pm and no work is done on the weekends. If you see suspicious activity at any construction site after the men have left for the day, call 911 and let the NYPD check it out. You won't get in trouble if you're mistaken and the contractor will be happy folks are looking out for the material. We don't want the construction delayed and we do want the perpetrators caught.
