Subject: Arrest x2 of two individuals for possession of auto with forged VIN Plate`

Today at 2:04 PM, PO Paulsaint and PO Clark (104 Precinct) observed a green 1999 Nissan Altima driving in the vicinity of Borden Avenue and 63 Street. The officers noticed the car with 2 male occupants had a NY state registration sticker in the windshield but no front plate. Upon stopping the vehicle at 53 Avenue and 62 Street, officers discovered the Nissan had a defaced (scratched out) VIN plate in the windshield and the NY registration sticker was forged.
The driver (M/28) is charged with Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument 2nd Degree (Felony), Aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered vehicle, and open warrant. He has 17 priors arrests.
The passenger (M/23) is charged with open container and open warrant.
