We just heard one of our members who said his car, that was parked in his driveway, was ransacked and a duffle bag full of dirty clothes was stolen. He said for some reason the car door was unlocked. This occurred at 5:00 am on the 108th Precinct side of Calamus Avenue.
Please check your car doors manually and don't trust the automatic lock mechanism because the same thing happened to one of our members on 70th Street not too long ago. His car was parked in the driveway and he was adamant his doors were locked. Don't leave anything visible inside the car.
