2 more burglaries in Maspeth

UPDATE
 
Det. Bell states we had another burglary yesterday, 5/30, at 52#s on 69th Street. It occurred between the hours of 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Entry was made through the front basement door - damage to door frame and lock. He also mentioned there was another burglary on 5/15 in the immediate area. We'll hear more at our COMET meeting on Monday!

I was advised by Det. Thomas Bell, 104th Precinct Community Affairs, that we've had three burglaries in northern Maspeth since our last meeting:

• 5/3 - 52#s on 69th Street approximately 8:40 pm - entry made through front door, electronics taken. 
• 5/4 - 52 #s on 69th Street, side door, approximately 8:40 pm (same as above), nothing taken.
• 5/11 - 73 #s on 53rd Avenue, no time reported, rear door, cash, jewelry and a hard drive stolen.

Night burglaries are always a concern. It appears that perpetrator waits until dark. Please make sure your doors/windows are locked and leave a light on when you go out at night.
 
Look out your window and if you see anyone suspicious lurking in the area call 911 and tell the Operator that the person is acting suspicious and you're concerned because there has been burglaries in the area.
 
Burglars more around so everyone needs to look out!!
