Good morning,
I've attached a PDF of a recap of what's been happening over on our side. I'm happy to report that October has been pretty good to us crime wise compared to the other precinct sectors and our 104/110 counterparts (hopefully it continues, fingers crossed). You'll find that most frequently reported crime is Grand Larceny which most of them relate to scams via telephone and social media. We cannot stress how common these scams are and how critical it is to verify facts before sending out money. A couple of the reports relate to property being left unattended (backpacks, purses, vehicles). Crimes of opportunity draw perpetrators in so we stress the importance of securing property.
Much of our time was spent addressing different Quality of Life concerns with the biggest one being the noise throughout the night. Most of those stemmed from vehicle meetups and drag racing so we've adjusted our tours the last few weekends to try and keep them away. We've also continued to focus on removing abandoned and derelict cars in the Maspeth area to free up parking spots and remove eyesores.
Finally, our Build The Block meeting is currently scheduled for Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 at 07:00PM. The auditorium is larger than our last meeting spot so we'll be able to accommodate more people. We'll be sending invitations out soon.
SINCERELY,
