Shooting incident in Ridgewood

2/18/2026

Good morning,

We would like to update you on an incident that took place within the 104th Precinct.  On Tuesday, February 17 at approximately 2:33 pm, police responded to calls for a person shot in the vicinity of Wyckoff Avenue and Decatur Street, Ridgewood.  Upon arrival officers were met by a female victim who stated she had been struck in her leg by a bullet.  The victim along with witnesses stated they had seen a vehicle occupied by 4 individuals drive on Wyckoff Avenue, firing multiple shots outside the vehicle.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where she is in stable condition.  Four individuals were apprehended a short time later in connection with this incident.  At this time the investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information, please feel free to write or call the 104th Precinct Community Affairs Office.

Thank you,
Detective Michael Berish
