Good afternoon,
The 104th Precinct would like to make you aware of an incident that took place earlier this morning on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. At approximately 8:59 am, a call was placed to 911 requesting police to respond to PS 113, located at 78-23 87th Street in Glendale. Upon arrival school staff stated they discovered what appeared to be decomposed human remains inside the chimney. Additional resources were immediately requested such as the NYPD Crime Scene Unit and Emergency Services Unit. There were no students in school, as the building is closed for construction throughout the summer. Please understand that this incident is currently under investigation and in its early stages.
