We were skeptical about being told recycling can be put out at 6:00 pm so we reached out to Queens West 4. Here's what we were told:
- Trash must be put out in bins no earlier that 6:00 pm the evening before collection day.
- Recycling can be put out at 6:00 pm ONLY IF IT IS IN A BIN. If the recycling is in a bag it cannot go out until 8:00 pm.
- They are not writing summonses, but there are people assigned to canvas neighborhoods and write them. Queens West 4 doesn't want to see anyone getting a fine.
- If your usual pickup is on Wednesday, don't forget it's Lincoln's Birthday tomorrow so don't put anything out until tomorrow night for pickup on Thursday.
