CSX update

For many months folks on the border of Maspeth, Elmhurst and Woodside have expressed concern about the train cars being stored on the CSX tracks on Calamus Avenue and 74th Street. Noise in the middle of the night, vibrations that rattle windows in the middle of the night and rodents coming to eat the discarded food stored in the train cars. They also have to deal with the smell.

Assemblyman Raga teamed up with Congresswoman Meng and Senator Gianaris and received the attached response from CSX. We will continue to follow up until residents can enjoy a peaceful quality of life.
