DI Wong, Commanding Officer of the 110th Precinct, passed along the following information. It's important EVERYONE keep a lookout because this can happen anywhere.Last night, June 30th, at approximately 6:15 pm at 86-xx 55th Avenue, an Asian resident left the house for about two hours and returned home to a burglary in progress. Cash and jewelry was stolen. Entry was made through a bathroom window. The perpetrator exited through the front door.
The perpetrator was wearing an Amazon vest and was carrying an opened umbrella (probably hiding his face from cameras).
DI Wong is hoping residents will call if they notice a person with an Amazon vest, without a package, walking around.

- Call 911 and tell the operator why the person is suspicious. In this case explain the individual is wearing an Amazon vest and walking around with no package. Explain there have been past burglaries involving someone wearing an Amazon vest breaking into homes and the police want to be notified immediately if someone matches this description.
- Try to give as much info as you can. Description (hair, clothes, height, weight, etc.)
- If you can see the vehicle he arrived in give a description (make, model, color, etc.)
