On Sunday 10/04 at approximately 12:51 AM, an anonymous person called 911 to report Drug Sales at the corner of 71st Street and Grand Avenue, stating numerous male juveniles were at the location and offered to sell him pot. 104 Precinct patrol units responded (PO Quintanilla and PO Campbell) and saw 3 of the males run into a nearby building, while a fourth ran towards 72nd Street. This kid wore numerous layers of clothing and as he ran, and he threw numerous baggies of marijuana from his pockets onto the street. He was apprehended and taken into custody. He was found with 13 bags of Marijuana, 1 large ziplock of Marijuana, and two cell phones. Charged with possession of marijuana and an open warrant.
The little darling is a 15 year old Male/Asian and lives at the 61-00 block of 56th Road. He has five (5) prior arrests and has been REMANDED to New Horizons Juvenile Detention facility for an open Family Court Warrant. I cannot release his name because he is a juvenile.
Thanks to the anonymous person who saw something and said something by reporting this incident to 911, their vigilance and phone call led to this person's arrest, and the swift intervention by 104 Precinct officers in combination kept Maspeth residents safe.
