Hi All,
Captain Manson, 104th Precinct, called to let us know that two burglars were arrested in Maspeth on Thursday, 7/31. Two male whites, ages 16 and 17, were apprehended as they were trying to break into the Subway store on Grand Avenue between 69th Lane and 71st Street at 11:30 pm. These same youths were apprehended on 6/25 at 11:20 pm breaking into a house on 69th Lane/54th Avenue. Both of these youths live in Maspeth. Including the most recent arrest, one had 4 arrests and the other had 6 arrests. Just a thought - perhaps they should look into another occupation. As always, if you see something - say something - and if you're a victim of a crime, report it!! Roe Daraio, President Comet Civic Association www.cometcivic.com Hi All,
Great news from DI Leyson, 110th Precinct! A special "thank you" to the Elmhurst resident who called 911 to report the suspicious male. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! This arrest is not far from the 104th/108th Precinct borders. Hopefully this arrest will lower the crime affecting vehicles in our community. For those of you who do not know, we live in Queens North. Queens South is the other end of the borough. The perpetrator did not come from our area. Roe Daraio, President Comet Civic Association www.cometcivic.com Hey Roe, Nice arrest by my midnight Conditions Team Wednesday morning. They responded to a suspicious person call (made to 911) with a good description. The responded and caught him in the act of dragging a motorcycle he just stole into the back of an SUV. This was on Vankleeck and Codwise Plc. Thanks to the person who saw something and said something this bad guy from Queens South was caught in the act. Way to work together as a team. Like I always say at the meetings (WE ALL DO) don't be afraid to call if something seems out of place to you, let us come and investigate! This is proof positive as to why it's important. Ronald D.
