Captain Mastronardi, 104th Precinct, wants folks to know that they will be conducting a Heavy Duty Tow Operation on July 20th. A "heavy duty tow" means they will be focusing on illegally parked large vehicles i.e. buses, trucks, etc. that cannot be removed by smaller tow trucks. The Operation will be led by PO Sadler, 104th Precinct Community Affairs, and a small team of officers.
If you have a chronic problem with an over-sized vehicle parking in your area, please send the information to PO Sadler at [email protected] or you can send it to me and I'll pass it along. Give the general area where the vehicle usually parks. This will be a nighttime operation. As most of you know, commercial vehicles cannot park in residential areas between the hours of 9:00 pm and 5:00 am.
We want to thank Captain Mastronardi for putting this operation together. Hopefully it will send a message to those who park illegally and take parking away from our residents.
