COMET June 2025 meeting Monday 6/2

Chief Hennessy, Borough Commander of Queens North, will be our special guest. He'll discuss the implementation of the Quality of Life Team, confiscation of loudspeakers and accident prone locations. We're interested in hearing how the Quality of Life Team will be an improvement over the current NCO Teams.

This is our last scheduled meeting until September. If anything important comes up we'll schedule a special meeting.

Jewelry scam

Good afternoon,

We would like to take this time to make you aware of a recent scam taking place within the 104 Precinct. As of late, we have seen a trend of individuals being approached and having their jewelry removed. Please stay alert while walking throughout the neighborhood. We urge you to not wear large amounts of visible jewelry. Please see the attached flyer for tips. As always feel free to call the 104 Precinct Community Affairs or Crime Prevention Division with any questions or concerns.

Elmhurst - Burglary

5/15/2025

There was a burglary on 5/10/25 located at 52-## on 79 street between the hours of 10pm and 11pm. Two perpetrators forced the back door open with a crow bar to gain entry to the home. The rear of the home can be excessed by a road with shared driveways. Over 30k dollars of jewelry was taken. please keep an eye out for your property and for each others property. If you see someone in the area watching a home or a location for an extended period of time please call 911 and give a description.

Incident in the 104th Precinct - Wyckoff & Myrtle

Good afternoon,

The 104th Precinct would like to make you aware of an incident that took place earlier today. At approximately 10:47 am, police responded to calls for a male stabbed in the vicinity of Myrtle Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue. Upon arrival, officers were met by a victim who had suffered a stabbed wound to neck with minor injuries. It appeared that the victim was uncooperative in the investigation. After a thorough investigation, police arrested two individuals in connection with this incident. As always, please call or write with any concerns regarding this incident.
